I got hired in 24 hours after attaching “H2S + Safeland” certs; keep FR gear; remote slots vanish — Hydrogen Sulfide - Overview | Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

Since these are ‘real-time’ and vanish fast, I’ve had the best luck uploading my clean MVR plus a one-page rig-up/rig-down checklist and then calling the yard within 30 minutes to confirm I can start nights. The $500 bonus is nice, but they’ll usually move you first if you note a tanker endorsement or, if no CDL, specific hands-on with layflat and 4-inch camlocks.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌

I set a 7:00 a.m. reminder to apply and then swing by the yard with my steel-toes and a recent water transfer log; face-to-face bumped me up and they noted the $500 sign-on right away. If you can’t get there, reply with a short line on pumps/layflat sizes you’ve run and exact start time — beats a long resume. As @OP said, these vanish fast, so “apply promptly” the same morning.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

I started getting callbacks quicker after renaming my resume to “KendraFay_WaterTech_readyNights_PEC.pdf” and putting “$500 sign-on – [yard name]” in the subject so it pops during the “real-time” rush. Caveat: some portals strip filenames, so I paste the same keywords at the top of the resume too.

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌

I got better results bundling my CDL A, H2S, and PEC cards into one PDF and putting “start 1/3 – nights – water tech” in the subject — like rigging up your app so dispatch sees the fittings first. Building on @kendra_fay92’s subject trick, timing mattered too: 6:05 a.m; sends beat my late-night blasts; no CDL? lead with “Safeland + clean MVR, ready to travel” up top.
