Getting 40/70 to ride in slickwater

Is anyone consistently placing 40/70 in 10k+ ft laterals at 75–80 bpm on about 1.5 gpt FR, or does slip velocity still dominate once Re pushes past 1e6? I’m weighing a 100‑mesh lead then stepping to 40/70 at about 2.5 ppg with a light VES bump to lift apparent viscosity around 100–200 s⁻¹ — curious if that improves lateral distribution or just taxes treating pressure without net gain…

‘75–80 bpm’: 25‑bbl VES pill at 3 gpt before 2.5 ppg cut slip; 5 bpm ratchet?

On a few 10–12k ft laterals we kept 40/70 riding at about 78 bpm on 1.5 gpt by dropping a 12–15 bbl HPG mini‑pill (about 20 lb/Mgal) right before the ‘2.5 ppg’ step; it lifted 100–150 s⁻¹ viscosity just enough to cut slip with <300 psi extra TP. @OP have you tried a timed pill like that instead of a continuous VES bump? It’s a small tweak that usually cleans up distribution when Re is north of 1e6.

Try 0.5 lb/Mgal degradable fiber at the 40/70 step; minimal pressure hit, better carry — ‘Re>1e6’ thoughts?
