On a 12–1/4 in build last night, we dropped PV from 28 to 22 cP and nudged YP from 18 to 22 lb/100 ft2, then shifted the bit nozzle split to 8–8-7; net result was about 0.18 ppg lower ECD at 480 gpm while maintaining >220 ft/min annular velocity and cleaner returns. Has anyone else prioritized moving pressure losses to the bit and thinning the annulus to control surge/swab without sacrificing cuttings transport, and if so what PV/YP targets worked for you?
